Just watched Tora Dora Episode 12, and there is something about it I just had to write about.
This show just keeps on impressing me as it goes on. On one level it’s a simple comedy, and a tsundere comedy at that. On another level, there are so many hidden meanings and morals littered throughout, it gives you those warm and fuzzy feelings (WAFF as they were known in fics!)
Anyway another awesome episode, and it just cements in my opinion, of Ami being my favourite out of the trio of Taiga and Minori. Have any of the others 2 girls said anything half as meaningful?
“I won’t cling to you like Taiga. Nor will I become your sunshine like Minori-chan.I Kawashima Ami, will take the same path as you, but just a little ahead of you.”
She knew Ryuji needed cheering up. She knew he needed a friend. And she delivered, and with no ulterior motive, just honest feelings.
Taiga also had a few things to say, which also were pretty deep.
“It’s not about who’s right and who’s wrong. There are more important things than that. That’s why we need things like apologies and forgiveness.”
Now where is my Kawashima Ami Figma, Max Factory? (Also wouldn’t mind a Taiga Figma) 🙂
I think I may just have to keep blogging this show. It’s getting to be as equally as exciting as Gundam 00 S2 imo, which is strange for a show of this genre to affect me so. Anyways, Kon ban wa! ~Ace

It’s all about Yuyuko Takemiya’s great writing skill. The manga version of My Dear Tamura-kun has also impressed me on multiple occasions with how it handles the relationships between characters.

I don’t like Ami as much, but I’m liking her more than when she was first introduced, character development seems to be coming along nicely. I’m also following this show and I think it’s one of the best out this season. Taiga Figma would be pretty cool, at least she could come with her sword and maybe the palm top tiger 😛
Yep, when Ami first was introduced, she’s a very hatable character. But she’s developed so much – even Ryuji notices she’s changed. Characters that grow, grow on me. ^_^;;
