Got some new ones today from Hobby Search … was convinced to get this (Gift) Yoko from all the nice reviews of her all over the interwebz >_>
And some more Figmas to my collection, Cheerleader Mikuru Figma…
And Culture Maid Tsuraya Figma… I really also want the battle waitress Mikuru, but she is sold out everywhere >_> Guess I’ll wait for restock.
One thing I need to mention – I also have the Cheerleader Haruhi Figma (which I got from Philippines) but I have a very strong suspicion it is a FAKE o_0 … See below … it’s a pretty convincing fake, but I’m pretty sure it is one. Btw 1000 Philippine pesos is about $27 Australian. I didn’t even know they made fake Figmas, and pretty new ones, but there you have it.
Anyways, in regards to the title of this post. Yes, I didn’t think I had it in me, but I am actually too lazy to even open my figures nowadays O_O;;. See below for my new collection of unopened figures (note: does not include my doubles)
It’s one thing to have a collection of unbuilt Gundams (which I also have an embarrassingly high pile of in the closet), but quite another to have a collection of unopened figures. I’m not one for keeping my toys / figures in boxes to keep them in mint condition either – I’m the type to open them up and play with them. So this built up pile is a tad surprising. I guess it’s because I didn’t have time to open them before my trip overseas. Oh wellz …
Anyone else have a collection of unopened figures?
I have a batch of unopened figmas. lol
I hate to tell u this but YES, it is a fake. I think they have been around not very long but nobody took noticed until now.

This comparison image will help u out to identity them for future reference.
I have a batch of unopened figurine too. i dont have room to display them.. so keeping in box rocks? =X.
Hehe, I think I’ve got an unopened Shinki or two sitting around -_-
Why do you think Haruhi’s a fake though? I can’t tell the difference…
i used to have a huge pile of unopened figures ^^; it was during the summer and i figured they would just be more vulnerable to leaning so i left everyone packed away. took over half a year before i got some of them out ^^;;
that’s quite a sexay gathering of gals to have trapped in their packaging though! yami, haruhi, zange, nanoha & yoko?! that’s some powerful laziness 😛
The haruhi looks like a fake but the mikuru is legit. Did you buy them both from the same store?
Optic – I remember seeing one of your photos ages ago which was a tower of figmas. You still have that? Shame! Figmas meant to be played with 😛 Of course I can’t talk lately…
Zenical – I admit space issues also is a facto for me. My computer desk is an explosion of figures and transformers 😛
Snark – It’s fake, it’s the only figure I bought while in the Philippines. The cardboard box was slightly faded, and the figma joints are a bit out of whack. It’s other pieces are pretty convincing though
Meron – Getting tempted to open them now 😛 I think myu favourite out of this bunch is Nanoha. She’s sooo huge
Umeboshi – Every figure here was bought from Hobby Search, except for the Haruhi baseball figma which I got whilst overseas in Philippines. Comic Alley, it was called, at SM Megamall in Edsa. I had an inkling it was fake, but I wanted to buy at least one figure whilst overseas. Kinda ironic it ended up being fake.
Almost all Suzumiya Haruhi Gang in the loot..
I can’t bare to not open figures. I have one unopened Figma and I plan on giving it away for my blog’s one year anniversary.
Too lazy to build Gundam models is understandable, but too lazy to open figures is pretty crazy for me XD
Just as Optic has mentioned, fake figmas has been around for a while already, but their existance aren’t so prominent except for local communities and forums. Usually, when it comes to fake figures and you think there’s something dodgy about it, your first instinct is sometimes your best friend there.
Great post! I’ll subscribe right now wth my feedreader software!
